Download FlyWithLua
Install the FlyWithLua plugin framework (required)
Download and extract to: X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/
Generate Your Plugin
Use the generator above to create your personalized plugin file
The file will be pre-configured with your email and API key - no manual editing required
Install Plugin File
Copy the .lua file to your Scripts folder
Path: X-Plane/Resources/plugins/FlyWithLua/Scripts/hems_command.lua

Verify Configuration
Check your credentials are set correctly

Launch & Test
Start X-Plane and verify the plugin loaded
Look for 'HEMS Command Panel' window in-sim. Check Log.txt for confirmation.
X-Plane Installation
Install FlyWithLua (if needed)
Download from X-Plane.org and install to Resources/plugins/
X-Plane/Resources/plugins/FlyWithLua/Download HEMS Plugin
Get the .lua script from Downloads → Simulator Plugins
Configure Your Credentials
Open the .lua file and edit these lines:

API_ENDPOINT = "https://hems.base44.app"Install to Scripts Folder
X-Plane/Resources/plugins/FlyWithLua/Scripts/hems_command.luaLaunch X-Plane
Plugin loads automatically. Look for "HEMS Command Panel" window in-sim
Verification
Check Log.txt for "HEMS Command Plugin v3.0 Loaded" message
Microsoft Flight Simulator Installation
Download MSFS Package
Get the compiled WASM + HTML panel from Downloads section
Extract to Community Folder
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Packages\
Microsoft.FlightSimulator_...\LocalCache\Packages\Community\Configure Credentials
Edit config.json in the package:

Test Connection
Click "Download Mission Plan" in panel to verify API connection
Common Issues & Solutions
Plugin not loading in X-Plane
• Check Log.txt for errors
• Ensure FlyWithLua is installed correctly
• Verify .lua file is in Scripts folder, not Scripts/disabled
No data appearing in web app
• Verify API_ENDPOINT matches your app URL exactly
• Check API key is correct (copy from above)
• Ensure firewall allows outbound connections
MSFS panel not showing
• Check Community folder path is correct
• Restart MSFS completely
• Look in toolbar for HEMS icon
